- Monthly Stationery for Pippin Supporters Club Members, revamped: You know how you used to be limited to claiming just one monthly stationery set that we picked for you? Well... that's gone. From now on, you'll be able to browse and choose from a wide selection of available stationery and claim the one you actually want. No more waiting and hoping this month's set is your style. No more fomo in case you missed a set you liked either!

Of course, we won't throw everything at you all at once (we don't want anyone getting overwhelmed), so we've also added a Shuffle button. Tap it to refresh your selection and discover new options.

To celebrate this upgrade, we've added a whopping 40+ new exclusive stationery just for this feature and what makes them extra special is they are not for sale!

The one-stationery-set-per-month (one paper and one envelope) limit remains for now but we'll be increasing that over time as our collection grows.

Oh and in case you didn’t know: once you claim a stationery set, it's permanently tied to your account, regardless of your future membership status!

- Artist Collab Stamps: We are adding not one but TWO new sets of stamps in collaboration with two independent artists from around the world. Come check out our freshest drops, now available at the Post Office! Bet you will love them!

- Polish to writing experience: We made some tweaks and fixes to add some quality polish to the core-writing experience. Eg, our undo/redo button does more now, sticker picker should be more stable than before, writing feels smoother now, etc.

Hello lovelies! We are back, again with a banger of an update! It's a big update so no time to waste, let’s dig into what’s new!

- PenPal Stack changes: Lettre is built for meaningful connections, not doomscrolling. So to keep things from getting too out of hand, we’ve introduced a soft limit on how many PenPal lettres appear in your Stack each day. (Yes, we’re officially committing to the “PenPal Stack”. Farewell, “feed”, you have officially been fed to the sea of time)

So what does this actually mean?

Each day / every 24 hours, Pippin will deliver you a hand-picked Stack of fresh lettres to discover and start conversations with. Once you reach the end of your Stack for the day, you’ll have the option to join the Pippin Supporters Club; which gets you access to more PenPal lettres in your stack

But the core idea still stands: instead of endlessly scrolling through infinite lettres, we hope people spend more time starting conversations, making friends, and actually writing back!

- As you already know by now, members of the Pippin Supporters Club always get a little extra. This time, we’re introducing not one, but TWO entirely new ways to show our appreciation!

1) Premium Stickers: Members of the Pippin Supporters Club now have access to an entirely new collection of premium and exclusive stickers! From the compose menu, when you select the Sticker Picker, you will now see a new section dedicated for these stickers you wont find anywhere else! When we say you won’t find them anywhere else, we mean it; because we had each and every one of these stickers exclusively commissioned by our artist friends, just for you!

2) Premium Rewards: When you become eligible for a free Reward stamp, as a member of the Pippin Supporters Club, you are now also eligible for a more “premium” version of that stamp! Talk about doubling up! Best part, it’s not just a dupe but an entirely fresh set of stamps that we have introduced just for this! Go check them out

- Weekly membership: A new way to enjoy everything Lettre has to offer! We believe it will allow people to just get a lower-commitment-membership to claim goodies they like without committing to a whole month. Yes, it costs money to keep this platform running and we hate ads and hopefully won’t have to resort to it to survive thanks to you, the members of the Pippin Supporters Club!

- The Usual Suspects: Bugs & Crashes? what even are they? They’re all gone (so far). Thanks to each and every person who reported these annoying bugs and crashes, we get to improve the experience for everyone thanks to you! Hello beautiful residents of the coziest corner of the internet. We’ve been not-so-quietly working on a few things. Some big, some tiny, all with one goal: to be a little better than we were last update. Lets dig into what’s new!

- Seamless sign-in: In addition to the regular Apple and Google sign-ins, you can now sign in with just your email as well! What’s really cool is, it’s also “passwordless”: meaning there is no passwords for you to remember (or forget)! The best part? If you’ve ever used the same email across apple, google, or anything else… it’s all one account now! No duplicates, no “wait, which one did i use?” moments. We’ve also cleaned up how all of this works behind the scenes, so signing in (and getting started) should feel a lot smoother than before.

- Pippin Supporters Club upgrade: For the members of the Pippin Supporters Club, the people who make this whole thing possible; instead of claiming a free stamp every week, now you can claim a free stamp EVERY SINGLE DAY! We have essentially 8X’d the freebies you can get out of this membership! This is just one of the many upgrades we have made and are making in future updates, just for you! What’s also cool is for this reason, we are dropping a tonne of FRESH STAMPS for our exclusive-not-for-sale-anywhere-else “Pippins Park Buddies” collection!

- PenPals Tab enhancements: We added a lot more “oomph” to how you see and interact with the PenPals tab. Without giving too much away, let’s just bet that you will love what we cooked

- New Tip Videos: It’s been a hot minute since we last updated the videos we had inside the app’s “tips” tab. We went ahead and updated them as well as add some new ones. Getting started should be smoother than before.

- The usual suspects: Bugs & Crashes, all gone (so far). Each and every one of you who helped us find them, we are eternally grateful to you! If you come across anything unsavory, please feel free to hit the “Contact Us” or “Report a Bug” button from inside the app’s Settings tab. Thanks to your report, we get to improve the experience for everyone else!

There’s also a lot of tweaks and polishes we added to make the experience smoother, nicer and more stable across the board. These are just the ones worth highlighting because this list is already too-long! PS: The app is less than half its older size now!

- Last Active Status: One of our most asked-for feature is finally here! Now you can see when someone was last active from inside their PenPal profile. One of the newer features aimed at passively improving response rates across the board: it should enable you to take better judgement calls on who to start a conversation with from now on! This way, if someone was recently active, they are more likely to respond! Go ahead, start some new conversations with more clarity

- PenPal stack/feed enhancements: To back up the flashy changes, we have also done a ton of work under the hood in improving the ways you see PenPal lettres in your PenPal stack of lettres. You will understand why we are starting to call it a “stack” instead of a “feed” (clue: we tweaked the ui and it’s not really a “feed” anymore). We are excited to hear what you think and see what you do with it!

- Overall polish and new art(s): We tweaked the app with more polish, new art and more stability, better than our last update

- The usual suspects: Bugs & Crashes, fixed! Thanks to each and every one of you who report these issues and help us with fixing them. It’s because of you we get to improve the experience for everyone else!

- Preparing for What’s Next: We’re laying the groundwork for some big changes coming in the next few updates. This release focuses on under-the-hood improvements. Nothing flashy (yet), but you should feel the difference. Smoother interactions, faster loading, and an overall more seamless experience.

- Threaded Conversations, Upgraded: We’ve added a few fun “superpowers” for members of the Pippin Supporters Club within conversation threads. You can now instantly open incoming lettres, no waiting; unless they’ve been scheduled with Express Mail. Just tap and hold a lettre in a thread to explore these options. This isn’t about FOMO, it’s about giving you more control over how you experience your correspondence. The option matters.

- A Fresh Coat of Charm: We’ve added new artwork across the app for a bit more visual “oomph.” Expect clearer messaging, better flow and an overall more delightful experience.

- The Usual Suspects: Bugs have been squashed. Crashes have been handled. Things are more stable than ever, we are better than our last update!

- FRESH STAMPS!: Our latest artist collab just dropped featuring julzmakesart! Check out our Post Office and find out what we have in store for you

- Threaded Conversation Improvements: We added two “superpowers” in Threaded Conversations for members of the Pippin Supporters Club.

1) Unsend Mail: We believe in being deliberate… but we also believe in second chances. You can now unsend a letter if you need to. Protip: tap and hold any undelivered lettre for more options. Also, Cancelled lettres put your stamps back in your stamp book!

2) Reschedule Express Mail: Plans change. Timing matters. You can now reschedule your Express Mail with ease. Similar to Unsending, just tap and hold any undelivered Express Mail lettres to access these “superpowers”

Small disclaimer: these features are not meant to take anything away from Lettre’s core features which everyone gets to enjoy, regardless of membership status. These features are just our way of saying “thanks” to the members, without whose support, we would not be here today. All of them are designed to “enhance” the experience without taking anything away.

- Polish to Conversations / Threaded Messages: You can now stay on top of your lettres like a true pen-pal professional. We have ironed out most of the kinks and quirks of our latest Mailbox overhaul. Two things to note here, one: we have yet not decided what exactly to call it and two; there could still be some funny business here and there. Please feel free to hit the “contact us” or “report a bug” button(s) from the app’s settings tab any time you come across something you think needs our attention. Thanks to your reports, we get to improve the experience for everyone!

- Express Mail, now with more control: Members of the Pippin Supporters Club can now Delete scheduled mail as well as recall scheduled Express Mail. Plans changed? Second thoughts? You’re in control. These are part of the growing list of “superpowers” that keep Lettre sustainable and 100% ad-free for everyone.

- The usual suspects: Bugs old and new, squashed! We have also squeezed in some improvements and taken care of some critical annoyances. Some of the noteworthy ones:

* Fixed issues where newly purchased or claimed papers and envelopes didn’t immediately appear in the asset picker if it was already open.

* Fixed an iPhone issue where newly obtained stamps didn’t appear in the stamp slider after you ran out.

* Resolved an iPhone navigation bug where canvas and envelope state persisted after sending a lettre and navigating to PenPals, occasionally breaking the Compose screen.

* Various conversation and migration cleanups to improve stability and reliability.

We’re back again and yes, this might be the longest stretch we’ve ever gone without an update, but we do promise you this: the wait was very much intentional and very much worth it!

This update lays down some important groundwork for what’s coming next, and it brings not one, but two meaningful additions! We can't wait to share them with you.

First and foremost: THREADED CONVERSATIONS is finally here! (we worked really hard for this)

Say goodbye to a cluttered mailbox and the mental gymnastics of figuring out who said what (and when). With threaded conversations, your lettres are now neatly grouped by the person you’re writing to/from, making it dramatically easier to follow, reply, and actually hold a conversation. This is a huge quality-of-life improvement that brings clarity, continuity, and calm to your mailbox; exactly how letter writing should feel. We are also hoping this will improve response rates across the board as more people (should ideally) feel more comfortable continuing a correspondence.

A little side note, for people who already use Lettre, the first-time you launch the app after this update, your Mailbox tab might take slightly longer to load up properly but we assure you it's a one-time-thing. People who join us after this update won't even know the difference.

Secondly, we have "Lovebirds & Lettres": a little gift, on us

To celebrate the month of love, connection, and handwritten affection, we’re releasing a free and limited-time giveaway for everyone! - Seasonal FREEBIES: Claim a FREE limited-time set of stationery to celebrate the season, our way of saying “thank you” to EVERYONE in the community! As usual, once claimed, it’s yours to keep forever

- New Post Office content: Our freshest set of envelopes; "Nihon’s Spirits", inspired by quiet winters, folklore and the soft magic of traditional Japanese motifs → now available at the Post Office for anyone looking to give their lettres a calm, wintry touch.

- Subtle envelope screen upgrades and fixes: Some of you reported some buggy behavior on our envelope screen so we went ahead and added some upgrades along with fixes to some annoying issues. Now you can just tap a stamp to apply it “fast” if you are tired of dragging and dropping all of your stamps as well as some “quality of life” changes which should make the overall experience much smoother. Due to popular demand, we also have some planned upgrades which are also coming soon; adding more customization options to your envelopes! Stay tuned and watch this space!

- Regular suspects: of course, we’ve been tending to the regular suspects. Among others, we fixed an issue where tapping the sticker icon multiple times on the envelope screen could send you backwards and we squashed a crash that could happen when sending a lettre. Everything should feel smoother and more reliable now.

What’s next: coming soon in an update near you!

- Conversations overhaul: Currently, its hard to keep track of conversations in your mailbox. Our solution to this: Threaded conversations which feel like real correspondence! An overhaul to our “Mailbox” tab, we want to make each conversation more intimate, easy to manage as well as navigate through.

- PenPal feed enhancements: We are working on some under-the-hood stuff to make our PenPal feed more robust and powerful. Hope you stay with us as we work towards implementing those features!

- Pippin Supporters Club upgrades: Members of the Pippin Supporters Club are the reason Lettre gets to exist at all. Your support keeps the lights on and allows us to build this little corner of the internet without ads, data selling, or any sort of corporate compromises. As a small thank-you, Supporters receive in-app perks and upgrades that aren’t available for sale elsewhere and we’re just getting started. We have a bunch of exciting improvements coming soon, including daily free stamps (instead of weekly), new PenPal “superpowers,” a revamped rewards system, and more thoughtful surprises along the way.

- PenPals Feed Overhaul→ SEARCH & FILTER: We have made significant changes to the engine which powers our PenPals feed! You know how you could “filter” your PenPals feed? Now you can filter AND SEARCH as well! You can search for interests, places/locations/cities and many more! With this update, we have implemented just a portion of our new search capacities. The reason we say “a portion” is because this is the groundwork for a more powerful search feature coming soon! Next stop: semantic search! What that will bring is for you to be able to look up any lettre available on the PenPal feed by just describing it! This is just step one

PS: Search & Filter is a special little "superpower" made exclusively for members of the Pippin Supporters Club. The PenPal feed: the familiar stack of envelopes you already know and love remains the same and fully available to everyone. Nothing is being taken away from the core experience if you’re not a member. Because membership is totally optional (and because we don’t run ads or sell your data), we believe the people who DO choose to support us always deserve something extra and this is one of the many. We built it with a lot of love, and we genuinely hope you enjoy using it. Thank you, truly. - Address Book Enhancements: PenPal profiles can now be directly viewed from your address book! It is better than the last version because now, you can see who has a profile and who doesn’t; making this a better overall experience (At least since our last update). Go ahead, check out some PenPal profiles of the people you may have added to your address book and while you’re at it, don’t be a stalker: be nice and reply to lettres they posted

- Fresh stamp pack!: Our latest artist collaboration has now taken our featured spot at the Post Office! Check out BunBisquit and their absolutely adorable set of stamps! Show some love, tell your friendss!

- The usual suspects: Old bugs, new bugs; consider them squashed! All of these fixes and tweaks will make pretty much everything in the app run smoother and better with more efficiency. It means fewer bugs, crashes and hopefully more time for you to enjoy being a part of this cozy corner of the internet! - BLOCKING: Many of you have been asking us for a “block” feature and it’s finally here. Now you can block someone from ever sending you a lettre ever in their lives. The option is available from both the Mailbox and the PenPal profile.

Lettre has always been a self-moderating community made up of some of the kindest and most thoughtful people on the internet. We have relied on the “Report” feature so far to keep our space safe from hate, bigotry, and discrimination: we are proudly intolerant of intolerance. Your vigilance and care for one another make this community what it is and it’s thanks to that spirit that adding this feature made sense now. Please let us know what you think and how we can improve it further, we love hearing from you.

- FRESH STAMPS!: We are dropping not one but TWO new stamp sets with this update! Go check out our Post Office and see for yourself! We bet they will impress

- iOS 26 polishes: Following our last iOS 26 update, we’ve added new refinements and subtle touches throughout the app to make everything feel more coherent, fluid, and delightful to use

- Sign-in/Sign-up bugs: We know some of you have run into pesky login and signup issues. This update addresses the majority of those, with additional safeguards to prevent future errors. We want to take this opportunity to express our unending gratitude to every one of you who reported them. As a tiny team, these reports are incredibly valuable in helping us improve the app and the overall experience. Thanks to your feedback, we can fix issues quickly, precisely, and effectively: making the experience better for everyone!

Since this is a major update, please report any new bugs you encounter using the “Contact Us” button in the “Settings” tab. This puts you in touch with us directly. We love hearing your feedback, bug reports and of course, all the love you share with us.

Hello hello! Just here to quickly drop a small mid-week update for you all. Nothing fancy in this, just some under-the-hood stuff to make your experience smoother than before. Here are some of the “bigger” items for this update:

- Tweaks to the Post Office: We got a little tired of the Poster we had for the Pippin Supporters Club, so we replaced it with a fresh new poster!

- Notification bugs: Fixed an issue where the notification badge count on the iOS homescreen wouldn’t update correctly.

- Misc improvements: We took care of some bugs and crashes here and there; things are a lot more stable and faster than last week.

Hello lovelies! We are dropping another update this week addressing some very hot and pressing issues. Let’s get to it!

- Say hi to Dexter: Our newest member of Pippin’s Park Buddies is now available as a fresh set of avatars! Dress up your PenPal profile in style.

- Onboarding, unblocked (for good we hope): We fixed a pesky bug where some folks got stuck in the PenPals onboarding at the “interests” step. You can now breeze through and start meeting new friends without detours.

- Notifications behaving themselves: The notification permission prompt will now stop popping up every single time you open the app. (It was excited to see you, but we told it to calm down. It should be in its best behavior going forward)

- Sign-in issues? We’ve got your back: If you ever run into trouble signing in, you can now email us straight from the error alert. This creates a support ticket and helps us help you: no login required. This should streamline reporting some of the “rare”er bugs so we can squash them faster and with more precision!

- Smarter, smoother login system: We gave our sign-in logic a complete refresh. If all goes well (and they will; we hope), you'll notice fewer weird logouts and mysterious upload errors. Our overhauled system should be faster, better and more reliable than ever before!

- Upload errors? Not anymore: A major tune-up under the hood to make your uploads more reliable and robust, especially during background launches and if you have flaky connections.

- Other geeky things (you don’t need to worry about): We reworked some of the behind-the-scenes magic to make things faster, more secure and less error-prone. Includes the usual suspects -> bugs which have been squashed

- Frames for PenPal Avatars: Your PenPal profile just got an upgrade! Members of Pippin Supporters Club can now add frames (starting with a few, a lot more on the way) to show off some extra “schweg” on their PenPal profiles. Go try it out and let your PenPal avatars stand out better than before (without getting obnoxious)

- Advanced Filters - City: Looking for PenPals a little closer to home (or just really into Parisian poets)? Introducing “City” Filters -> you can now filter your PenPals feed by Cities! Don’t worry, people who wish to remain anon will stay anon; we don’t snitch

- Visual tweaks: Some subtle visual changes here and there; think cleaner layouts, italics where they actually belong and shiny new "Supporters Perks" badges to mark perks just for our beloved Pippin Supporters Club. Now it’s easier to spot what’s free and what’s supporter-exclusive. Everyone wins.

- Better diagnostics: When using the “contact us” button (found towards the bottom of the Settings tab), now you can share better quality diagnostic information which will drastically improve how we discover and address bugs / errors in the future. Huge thanks to everyone who’s ever reported a bug; seriously, you’re helping us build something better for everyone. Keep ‘em coming. We’re listening and constantly improving the app.

- BUGS BUGS BUGS: This has to be (by far) the largest collection of bug fixes we have put in one update. From log-in issues to getting logged out issues, this update brings fixes for some of the more annoying bugs we have come across since last update. IYKYK

- New drops: Psst… we’ve got a bunch of (free) new stickers rolling out over the next few weeks! Check your sticker selector, you might spot some fresh surprises! All on the house, because we love spoiling you

Consider this a “hotfix” for the last update we put out earlier this week (will copy-paste some items from 2.3.3 on this release note). Let’s find out what’s new:

- Be a part of Lettre history: We are live on Kickstarter! This month’s feature card at the Post Office features our first attempt at making Lettre free forever. Like you, we hate intrusive ads. We refuse to sell user data. And we won’t let corporate sponsors dictate what we build. We started Lettre as a small group of friends who love letters, technology and collectibles - and we want to build it with all the nice-stuff we have seen across spaces we love ourselves, independent, and truly free. Instead of being backed by investors who’d push us to compromise, we’d rather be backed by something far stronger: you, our community. One of our pledge rewards is lifetime membership/access to everything - go score!

- Navigation overhaul (iPhone): This update brings huge usability changes to our iPhone version. Things are more “mobile friendly” with tabs at the bottom, better than before for sure. Let us know what you think!

- New set of stationery: Gothic Coffee Break is a dark-themed stationery set of 7 papers and 4 envelopes - made for thinkers, writers and midnight letter-lovers. Hello beautiful members of our community, we are here today with another update! Even though this update took longer than the others so far, we think this wait is going to be worth it (we are still cooking)!

Let’s jump into what’s new:

- A new way to write: Lettre (on the iPad) now has full keyboard support! For the folks in the back - no pencil, no problem! Now you can “type” your lettres instead of using your fingers for (hopefully) a better experience. Just a heads up, this feature is still in its experimental phase and might come with some quirks and kinks. Please use the "contact us" button to let us know if you come across any issues or have any feedback to share, we love hearing from you.

- Better social sharing: We have added some nice tweaks and upgrades to our web URL which is used to share Lettres on other socials. Check it out and let us know what you think! Sharing a PenPal lettre you like is now easier and looks nicer than before

- Upgraded PenPal profiles: Now you can upload your own display/profile picture to use as your PenPal Avatar (if you want to)! Some subtle changes can also be seen across the board making the profile button more useful. Also, Maverick enters the roster of available avatars for members of the Pippin Supporters Club! Now you can choose new variants depicting Maverick among the other Park Buddies inside your PenPal avatar options. Go put your best self out there

- iPhone stability: A lot of time was spent addressing bugs and stability issues after soft-launching a few weeks ago. Things are better now, more stable and less annoying than before. Includes fixes for (but not limited to) keyboard issues, sign up/log in issues, performance issues, UI issues, etc. This is still in its infancy and issues are still expected so please if you’re one of the cool folks using Lettre during this time, feel free to let us know what you think! From issues you’re facing to new ideas you think might be cool to have, we are always looking forward to hearing from you. Use the “contact us” button from the app to directly email us or reach out to us on our socials (check website for our discord/reddit and other socials)

- New stamp pack!! - One of our fans love us so much that she made a pack of stamps appreciating the people she met here! Go check out Conshnobre’s “PenPal Inspirations” - a set of 8 unique stamps now available on our Post Office!

- Fresh avatars! - Penny joins the club with some fresh avatars for your PenPal profiles! Flex your support for the team with Avatars from the Pippin’s Park Buddies collection(iykyk)! Your support keeps the community truly ad-free and our lights on - you all are the best buddies 5evr!

- Change to “start conversation” in PenPals: No more extra taps to reply to a PenPal lettre after taking it to your inbox from the PenPal feed - Tapping “start conversation” from the PenPal feed will now directly take you to the compose screen (in reply mode), saving valuable time. Yes, the lettre you’re staring the conversation with will still be found in your inbox later but it’s more seamless now. Cleaner, leaner.

- Social sharing upgrade: our "share" button is now more powerful than before. Share directly to Instagram stories with a full preview or other socials with a link which will take them to the lettre's full preview! Go try it out - when browsing through PenPal lettres on the feed, now you will see a “share lettre” button under the “save lettre” button. Go share your favorite PenPal lettres with the rest of the world!

- The usual suspects: Small bugs, big bugs — gone (for now)

Hello lovelies! We took a little longer than usual with our “weekly” updates this time around but we promise it was worth it! No beating around the bush, lets get to it —

- SHARING LETTRES ON OTHER SOCIALS - It’s only fair that others also get to enjoy the wonderful stuff you all keep creating on this platform. You can now SHARE your favorite PenPal lettres! When browsing through PenPal lettres on the feed, now you will see a “share lettre” button under the “save lettre” button. Go share your favorite PenPal lettres with the rest of the world! (no you cannot share private messages, duh!)

- Soft-launching on iPhone(s) - Keep it hush hush (for now as we work to stabilize it in the coming weeks). We are releasing a public build of Lettre on iPhones and is now available for you to download and try under one condition - you will report bugs you encounter by using the “contact us” button (pretty please). It is still learning to walk and we all know it takes a village to raise an early version. So expect all the goodness of the iPad app, just smaller and maybe with a weird bug here and there.

- PenPals feed gets an upgrade - From now on, Recently viewed lettres won't show up in your feed - taking space. This way, your feed will stay fresh, longer than before (hopefully always). But don’t worry, if you need to revisit a previously viewed lettre, Tap Profile avatar > Recently Viewed lettres. Besides, if you really like a lettre, you can save it and if you REALLY like like a lettre, just start a conversation already! You miss all the shots you don’t take

- Some changes to PenPal interactions - We take safety very seriously and are implementing some tweaks in how people under the age of 16 interacts with the PenPal feature. We lowered the required age limit for using the Penpals feature from 16 to 13 BUT people aged 13-17 will get an experience different from the rest. ie, People under the age of 17 will be able to see PenPal lettres sent by people in the same age group. People above 18 will see everything else. This should create a nicer and safer age barrier between the younger members of the community while also improving the overall quality of PenPal lettres the older members will be seeing from now on.

- New tabs in Post Office: We have reworked the Post Office to make room for a bunch of new stuff! Now you can switch between three tabs inside the Post Office- home, stamps and papers (new). Unlike stamps, which are tradable, papers and envelopes stay in your collection permanently (aka ONE TIME PURCHASES). For as long as you stay with us (hopefully 5ever), these one-time-purchases / permanent upgrades will stay with you in your account.

- Stationery Pack: With the introduction of one-time-purchases, we are releasing TWO new packs of stationery. Level up your writing kit with either the Writers’ Pack or the Earthy Tones Pack featuring sets of papers and envelopes.

- Premium Papers & Envelopes: Additional one-time-purchases are also available now, including 7 envelopes and 7 papers - which can be individually bought. Special words deserve special paper and these papers are just…… oooof! Once again, these are permanent upgrades to your account.

- Surprise Stamp Pack!: Dropping a sweet sweet artist collaboration Pack of Stamps! We won’t say who (yet), go check it out!

- New PenPal filter: Want to try your luck? Try the “recommended” filter now available inside the PenPals tab to get the best lettres we think you will most likely resonate with! What’s new? let’s find out

- Under-the-hood changes: Similar to our last update, a lot of performance and security improvements have been made - which you can’t exactly see but can feel. Things should be faster and more secure than before. One thing worth mentioning would be; some people were having issues with getting logged out of their accounts - this update should fix that. Please use the “contact us” button to get in touch with us if you are still facing this issue (or any issue for that matter, we are always here for it)

- New Stamps: mii_voi joins Lettre’s roster of Artist collaborators! Celebrate nostalgia with not one but TWO new sets of stamps; now available inside the Post Office!

- New Avatars: Customize your PenPal profile with more color and character! 7 more avatars are now available for use. They can be found when editing your PenPal profile’s avatar.

- Advanced Settings: Some additional settings have been added to the “Settings” tab. Now you can retain a copy of a draft after sending a lettre. This should help people who want to reuse their drafts or send multiple copies of the same lettre. From here, you can also turn sound effects on or off as well as clear your Mail Cache.

- New Tip Videos: To accommodate some of the newer changes, we have updated our tip videos with more content, Should be more helpful (than before)

- Regular suspects: Bugs and crashes, big and small - fixed (for now). One notable bug which got fixed would be the zooming bug on canvas which prevented people from zooming to the right side of the canvas - you can now zoom to every edge of the canvas; left, right, doesn’t matter! PS, now you can also double tap to zoom as well.

That’s about it for today. There are also some small polishes and changes here and there inside the app which are not mentioned here. Brownie points to you if you notice.

This update is mostly under-the-hood. Even though there are some Quality of Life upgrades sprinkled across the board which you can see, most of the changes on this update - you can only FEEL.

So what’s new?

- Full lettre preview from PenPals: When visiting someone’s PenPal profile, now you can directly interact with their past lettres! Heart, save and start a conversation directly from a PenPal profile!

- Save PenPal Lettres: For some of the extra special PenPal lettres you want to reply to later (when you have the time), you can now SAVE them while browsing! Check the new “Save” button under the “Start conversation” button! These saved lettres can be found by tapping on your PenPal profile and selecting the new “saved lettres” option.

- New reaction-based notifications: Now you will know when someone “Heart”s one of your PenPal lettres! There are so many beautiful lettres people just want to show appreciation for, now it’s easier than before.

- Regular suspects: Bugs and crashes, big and small - fixed!

- Changes to PenPal profiles / Updating City and Country - Some of you pointed out that showing your city on PenPal profiles felt like “sharing too much with the world”. We heard you and made it optional! If you feel the same way, head over to your PenPals profile and you can remove*** or edit your cities and countries. Alternatively, you can remove the same information by visiting the Settings tab. Both settings should now be the same.

**We would still recommend keeping this information included to get the best experience out of the PenPal feature but hey, no pressure. Your privacy is sacred, and we don’t collect or share any personal data.

- Performance upgrade to PenPal listing: Our PenPal listing has undergone some major performance upgrades and should load exponentially faster than before. Especially for our friends outside the NA region, you should be seeing a massive change in pace. Head on over to the PenPals tab and see the difference yourself!

- Stability fixes to the overall app: Under-the-hood magic to squash bugs, fix crashes, and make everything run better than before. A noteworthy bug —> Fixed an issue where people could not sign up properly due to conflicting data from Google or Apple. Signing up or logging in should be infinitely more seamless now.

- Seasonal Celebration: Free Stationery Set! To celebrate the end of the season and the year, we’re giving away a FREE limited-time stationery set (papers, envelopes, etc). Unlike stamps—which can be traded—stationery is a permanent upgrade to your account. Yours to keep forever, as long as you’re part of the Lettre family (we hope we get to stay 5ever)

- Reply-To Peek: A much-requested quality-of-life upgrade! We’ve all been there—struggling to remember what was on the lettre you’re replying to, shuffling back and forth between the inbox and your draft. Well, those days are over! Now, you can peek at “reply-to” lettres directly from the drawing canvas. Stay in the flow with seamless context as you craft your response—no more interruptions, no more hassle. Just pure, uninterrupted creativity. Just tap on the “Replying to name >” banner above your paper to get a full view of the lettre you are replying to.

- Unread/Unopened Lettre change: Unread mail now comes with a visual treat—see the envelope for every unopened lettre in your inbox before you read them for the first time (dw, you can also unread them if you like the effect too much).

- Post Office Glow-Up: The Post Office has hit leg day (finally!) and now sports a brand-new look. Stop by and see its fresh, polished makeover! If you like what you see, consider showing support for the idea and the team with a subscription or a pack of stamps!

- Color Picker for Envelope Fonts: Personalize your envelopes even more with the ability to choose colors for the fonts you choose. Let your creativity shine (brighter than before)!

- Smoother Writing Experience: Writing just got buttery smooth, even without an Apple Pencil! We’ve made under-the-hood improvements to ensure your creative flow remains uninterrupted, regardless of your access to an Apple Pencil.

- More Control with Attachments: Crop, rotate, and even sketch on your attachments—whether it’s images or stickers! Add that personal touch and make every lettre uniquely yours.

- Report Alert Improvements: Added a text box in the PenPal report alert menu for clearer communication when reporting issues. We want to make this space as safe as we possibly can and take this very seriously. Pippin doesn’t play around with this stuff.

- Seamless PenPal Profiles: Now you can view PenPal profiles directly from your inbox. Get to know your connections better with just a tap!

- Add to Address Book: Easily add new PenPals to your address book with the handy new button inside their profile.

- Advanced PenPal Filters: We’ve added more filtering options to help you find the perfect PenPal. Now you can filter by country and city while exploring PenPal lettres.

- Bug Fixes & Tweaks: As always, we’ve tackled pesky bugs and added small refinements to keep everything running smoothly.

The Lettre team is incredibly excited to share what we have been working on for the last couple of weeks! The app's 11th update — our most comprehensive yet — adds a whole new avenue for meeting, connecting and building relationships with new people!

This requires a little reintroduction —> Lettre.app is a handwriting-based messaging app built for the iPad and Apple Pencil. You can send hand-written digital correspondence to anyone, collect and exchange digital stamps created by independent artists and make PenPals across the world!

A "PenPal" is a friend you make by exchanging letters, often to explore new cultures and languages. Our PenPals feature is a new way to connect with people globally through handwritten letters on the iPad, reviving the charming tradition of pen-friendship in our hyper-connected age.

• Make PenPals across the world: If you don’t have someone in mind to send your lettre to, you can opt in to PenPals and select a continent after you’re done writing your letter. Your letter can be read by someone from that continent who can also write back to you, making it easier to meet new people! You can also visit the “PenPals” tab to read handwritten lettres sent by others from around the world and if you like a lettre, you can write back to them.

• Unparalleled writing / doodling experience: The writing experience is better than ever thanks to all the upgrades we made during the last 6 months. This includes additional stationery, better quality papers, saving lettres as photos, better security / privacy and of course, being able to attach images and even draw on them!

• Better immersion: With every lettre, now you also get an envelope (just like the real world). You can preview and customize these envelopes, adding a new dimension to making each lettre your own! With our new PenPals feature, collecting stamps from other parts of the world is easier than ever — just connect with a PenPal from your desired continent! Among other subtle tweaks to the handwriting and postal experience, we added sound effects and sprinkled some fun stuff across the board that we want you to find

• The Post Office: We have our own retail stamp store selling digital stamps now! You can directly support up-and-coming independent artists by purchasing stamps from the Post Office. • Getting started: New users will find the “Tips” tab extremely helpful in getting started smoothly. For anything else, just write to us (yes, now you can write directly to us from the app).

The team has been busy toiling away under the sun in preparation for our upcoming launch on ProductHunt. To make that as smooth as possible, we are releasing a bunch of quality of life (QoL) upgrades. This includes small tweaks and improvements across the board along with some bug fixes. Your writing experience is now better than ever.

The under-construction sign at the Lettre Post Office was torn off by Pippin in a fit of rage last week after he complained about seeing the same stamps over and over on lettre envelopes. As a result, we were forced to accelerate construction of the stamp store to satiate our fidgety delivery bird—this means you all get new stamps to purchase, and two new artist collaborations. Image attachments to lettres might burden Pippin beyond his carrying capacity but he says he’s up for the challenge, so just let him have it.

Here are the detailed updates:

• Our stamp store is fully launched with three new stamp collections — Seven Wonders of the Ancient World by the Lettre team, and for the first time ever, two artist collabs! Find the Post Office in app and check out what BotAgainstHumanity and Natishitoshno have for you.

• Insert image functionality for every lettre, along with nifty control and “draw over” options that let you fully deck out your message to a friend or penpal. Been travelling and want to regale your friends and family with a visual journal of your adventures? Start adding from your camera roll and fill in the blanks by drawing on them to your heart’s content.

• Various quality of life updates, mostly focusing on Signature functionality to ensure you have greater control over how you sign off every lettre.

• Various bug fixes and improvements.

Lettre’s latest updates include a few nifty features that make life easier for our PenPals and give you more control over the lettres you draft. Pippin’s mailbag has been quite full recently, and we thank all of our users for validating our idea for a digital handwritten messaging experience. Keep writing!

Here are the detailed updates:

• Quality of life changes — to the overall writing experience, including several hidden features and usability tweaks.

• Sender signatures — add personalized post-scripts and signs and use it in every lettre if you wish.

• Improved inbox and outbox experience — sender info, sent email address, loading screens and higher fidelity (among other things).

• Save every lettre — as photos or PDF, to your device; if you wish to do so.

• Various sound effects — added throughout the app for greater "immersion" and "oomph".

• Better reporting for errors.
