We strongly advocate that you have some basic reading and writing skills for an optimal experience. As for the letters themselves, they can be as creative or formal as you'd like. Remember, there are no set guidelines here. Have fun and express yourself any way you want and can. Remember, this isn’t some boring old text box, you have a canvas!

After you've completed your letter, you'll see an 'envelope'/”paper plane arrow” button on the top right (it’s always there). Click on it to proceed to the envelope screen. Here, you can add your recipient's details, customize your envelope, affix the required postage and hit 'send'. Rest assured, our competent postal-bird will ensure your message reaches its intended recipient, wherever they might be

Fear not! Your letter will still reach your chosen recipient. They might not have the full app experience or be able to collect stamps, but they can receive the letter through their email or iMessage.

As of now, you can send your lettres to -
1) Other Lettre users you have added on your address book
2) The PenPals feed for people to discover your lettre
3) Anyone whose email address you already know

Not at all, your papers and envelopes are yours to use indefinitely. This also includes limited-time stationery you claim as well, they are yours to keep and use for as long as you use Lettre.

We're also working on adding more customization options to make your writing experience truly unique.

Interestingly, your stamps are exchangeable. This means that when you send a letter, the stamps from your collection are added to the recipient's stamp collection / book. Similarly, when you receive a lettre from someone, those stamps get added to your stamp collection / book!

We're developing a dedicated trading experience for stamp enthusiasts, but sending and receiving letters will always be a terrific way to trade stamps worldwide.

There are a few ways of adding people to your Address Book (as of now)

1) From the Address Book tab, share your friend code with someone you want to add < - > similarly, if you have someone’s friend code, you can add them from here as well

2) From the PenPal tab or a conversation, tap on the “add friend” button if they have it enabled

We are adding more ways of making this as seamless as possible

Unfortunately, no. We want our users to put careful thought and time into their letters. This rule also helps keep spammers at bay. With that said, you CAN “Pause” or “Delete” a PenPal lettre you posted to the PenPal feed. Simply visit your own PenPal profile and scroll down. Each of your sent PenPal lettre will appear here and can be paused/resumed or deleted

At the moment, all letters sent are digital. However, we do have future plans to make this possible.

Absolutely! You can send letters to anyone as long as you have their contact information or email addresses. A copy of your letter will be sent to their emails along with instructions on how to download the app and recommended next steps. The Lettre from their emails can be directly saved as PDFs or images

Simply download the app, sign up using the SAME email address where you received your invite and voila – you're ready to enjoy the world of letters!

Ever felt like scheduling a birthday greeting in advance or maybe hate the wait time that comes with our regular lettres and wanted them to go instantly? With “Express Mail”, you can do either/both at the cost of two extra stamps (FREE for members of the Pippin Supporters Club).

Tap on the little “thunder/lightning” toggle to turn on Express mode (your envelope will switch to our exclusive express envelope). Proceed as usual till it prompts you to select your date and time or just send it instantly.

Noun; A PenPal is a person with whom one becomes friendly by exchanging letters, especially someone in a foreign country whom one has never met.

On our PenPals tab, you can browse through all the lettres people have sent to PenPals across the world! If you like a lettre, you can “heart” it or even better —> Start a conversation!

From the same tab, you can also customize your own PenPal profile with avatars, badges, interests and other fun stuff. Just tap on the little “profile”-looking icon on the corner of the tab

On the envelope screen, when selecting a recipient - tap on the “PenPals” option and select a region you want to send your lettre to. The way it works is, someone from that region will see it on their PenPals tab when browsing the PenPal feed and can start a conversation with you!

Instead of your regular “outbox”; lettres you posted to PenPals can be found inside your PenPal profile. From there, you can pause/resume or delete lettres you have posted to PenPals.
