Lettre Earns an Apple Editorial Spotlight & We’re Over the Moon! 🎉

Lettre got featured by the Apple Editorial Team in one of their Featured Collections!

We just took our very first step toward something we’ve quietly dreamed about for a long time… and yes, we’re still smiling.

Lettre has officially been featured in the App Store by Apple’s Editorial Team, inside a curated collection called “Grow Your Community.”

Not an ad. Not a paid push. Not an algorithmic fluke.

A real, hand-picked editorial feature, chosen by Apple’s human editors.

That alone would’ve made our year but there’s more.

Why This Feels So Surreal

Apple editorial features are famously selective. They’re not just about polish, they’re about purpose.

These collections spotlight apps that:

  • build communities intentionally

  • encourage creativity and well-being

  • stay human-centered, not addictive

  • show care in design and thoughtfulness in values

So when Lettre appeared under “Share with a pen pal,” alongside the likes of Slowly, an app we genuinely admire and are inspired by; it felt a bit like being invited to the grown-ups’ table.

As Apple describes it:

“Editors choose a theme. They hand-pick apps. They design a custom layout. Only the apps that truly embody the theme make it in.”

Knowing Lettre was chosen for connection is what made this moment really land.

“Share with a Pen Pal” - Congratulations to Slowly and Sincereley as well!

A First for Bangladesh 🤍

This part also means a lot to us. Lettre is the first Bangladeshi non-game app to ever receive an Apple Editorial feature.

The only other Bangladeshi app to be highlighted before was a game called DoubleCube. Which means, somehow this little letter-writing app becomes the first Bangladeshi lifestyle/social app Apple has ever spotlight-ed!

For a tiny team from Bangladesh to show up on Apple’s global editorial pages…that’s a moment we’ll carry with us forever.

The Truth Is: You Built This

While we were busy building Lettre, you were building something far more important:

🌎 friendships
💬 conversations
📬 pen-pal threads
📸 beautiful lettres
✨ a community that feels genuinely wholesome

That’s what Apple noticed. Not just features but intention. As they say, we built a house but you all turned it into a home.

So from the bottom of our slightly overwhelmed, sleep-deprived, very grateful hearts:

Thank you for trusting our tiny independent team. Thank you for writing to strangers across the world. Thank you for being kind, curious, and creative. Thank you for turning Lettre into a community, not just a product.

We want to become the most wholesome corner of the internet as well as be a historical archive of the largest collection of (digital) handwritten letters and thanks to you all, we are one step closer to both of those lofty goals.

A Quiet Belief, Highlighted

Apple didn’t just feature an app. They highlighted a belief we’ve always held close. In a world that scrolls fast, Lettre slows things down, just enough; for people to care. The internet can be wholesome again and strangers can foster deeper friendships. As we like to say, ditch the DMs, write a deliberate letter instead!

That’s our mission.
That’s your magic.
And now, somehow… it’s something Apple noticed too.

Here’s to what’s ahead. Next step, the coveted Editors Choice!
Thank you for being part of it. With your support and love, we know we will get there🤍
